There are additional features customers sometimes order with wedding stationery. Some of these include sandwiched cards, ribbon, pocket envelopes and belly bands.
The sandwiched card is illustrated on the left fan above and in the left-hand corner of the photo below. A purple card has been added to the program fan, and a navy card has been placed behind the quatrefoil invitation, respectively.
The sandwiched cards have the duel purpose of making the card thicker and adding a colored frame to the stationery piece.
Pocket envelopes are utilized because they can hold the smaller enclosure cards in a separate pocket. It separates the invitation and ensures the recipient cannot miss the RSVP or reception information. It also takes the place of an inner envelope; a bride can specify exactly who she wants to invite on the outside of the pocket envelope.
A belly band is mostly for appearances, but it also holds the invitation and enclosure cards together. Like the pocket envelope, this is a more modern wedding addition. Some like to tie their invites in twine or ribbon instead of a belly band and maybe add a hangtag.
We try to accommodate these wedding stationery additions or other similar requests. To order an add-on, please fill out our custom order form.
